The Reverend Stephen Black
Vicar

Stephen became Vicar of Cambridge in February 2026. Previously he was the Chaplain to Waikato Diocesan School for Girls and before that, Diocesan Director of Mission, Education and Vocation.

Stephen is married to Mel and they have two boys. In his personal time he loves learning, reading, music, football and fixing things.

He was ordained deacon in the Diocese of Wellington while working in legal publishing and began his first fulltime ministry role in 2014 as an assistant priest. Stephen has a BTheol from Otago, a BA in English Literature from Canterbury, English Honours from Victoria, a PGDip in Faith-Based Leadership & Management, and is a trained teacher.

The Rev Diana Court
Supporting Priest

Ordained in 1999 after completing a Bachelor of Theology degree at St. John’s College, Diana served as a parish priest until her retirement in 2014. She now offers the usual assistance given by retired clergy to their full-time colleagues. Diana was a practising therapist, supervisor and trainer before her ordination, working for para church organisations, her local church and in private practice. She offers both Spiritual Direction and Supervision privately and is also listed by the Diocese. Diana is a team player, loves being part of parish life and supporting and encouraging the ministry of others, both lay and ordained. She has been happily married to David for 48 years.

The Reverend Michele Willis
Supporting Priest

Michele was Ordained a priest in 2003 at St Matthew-in-the-City, Auckland and completed her Bachelor of Theology the following year. She worked at what was then National Women’s Hospital as Chaplain for 4 ½ years based in the Neo Natal Unit. Prior to then she was part of the church plant of Albany Baptist Church and Chaplain to Massey University.

Michele served two years as a curate in Holy Trinity Cathedral, then two years at Holy Cross Church in Albany as a community priest. She was also a Chaplain at the North Shore  Hospice and Assistant Priest at St Andrew’s Kohimarama before moving to Cambridge.  She is now the Chaplain to St John Ambulance and a support priest at St Andrew’s Cambridge and St Paul’s Mangakino. She has a passion for reaching out in the community and touching people where they are spiritually, socially and physically – bringing Christ in situations of need.  Michele loves her family, overseas adventures and V8 muscle cars.

The Rev Jan Crabb
Pastoral Care

Ordained as a Deacon in 2002, Jan previously served in Morrinsville and Mt. Maunganui. Her ministry is centred around pastoral care within the Parish and as an assistant leader for the Selwyn Centre – a social centre for the elderly. Jan is responsible for taking a number of rest home services in Cambridge and is involved with the Cambridge Community House as one of two Anglican delegates to their committee. Jan finds joy in ministry in listening to people, hearing their life stories and sharing and taking time to hear their concerns. She and her husband Ian have two married adult children and seven grandchildren.

The Rev Juliet Drage
Community Interface

Juliet, as a Vocational Deacon, hopes to be a walking symbol of Jesus Christ’s call to each one of us to go out from church and serve our neighbour. Ordained in 2001, she has served at St Stephen’s, Tamahere; St Peter’s Cathedral, Hamilton and now St Andrew’s. Her community facing ministry has been in Mental Health and currently in volunteer chaplaincy and Locum at Waikato Hospital. In Cambridge she helps at reception at Cambridge Community House. She is a registered Spiritual Director offering companionship as a person explores God’s presence in the midst of life. Juliet and husband Paul came to NZ from England in 1987 with two small children. She loves being a granny and enjoys reading, music, gardening and planning for a dog and other animals soon.
