“I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
(John 15:5)
Mission and Ministry are the fruit that arise from our connection to Jesus. When we are deeply connected to God we flourish. At St Andrew’s we want to extend the branches into our community that everyone might taste and see that the Lord is good.
The Anglican Church has agreed on Five Marks of Mission. These characteristics of faithful Christian community can be used to keep us on track. Together they reflect a lifecycle that commences with proclaiming the good news, guides us to teach and nurture, inspires our loving response to need, motivates our fight against injustice, and insists we care for creation – all of which is of course good news.
